Feature Documentary: A Table of Our Own
"I mean it when I say that this documentary couldn't have happened without Evan.
The amount of work and respect he gave during the entire process surpassed
everyone’s expectations."
- Ayize Jama-Everett, Director

During this two-year partnership, I led pre-production, filming, and Post. Everyone’s hard work culminated into winning Best Documentary (2023) at the New York International Film Festival after a sold out show at Oakland’s Grand Lake Theater, and subsequent worldwide screening tour.
A Table of Our Own is a feature documentary directed by Ayize Jama-Everett centered on Black leadership in the psychedelic movement. I served as a technical backbone, supporting the director’s vision while navigating the unique challenges of a culturally sensitive production.
From pre-pro to delivery, I shaped every stage: Logistics, rentals, editing, color, audio mixing, motion graphics, and festival mastering.
Short Film: Confessions of a Well Meaning Man
“...we love all of your creative choices.”
- Diana Lauren Jones, Director
“This is perfect...”
- Alex Adams, Writer
Confessions of a Well-Meaning Man is a stylized narrative short directed by Diana Lauren Jones set in the year 2050, but takes place entirely in a 1950’s style radio station; a vision that came with major production hurdles.
This was Diana and Alex’s first short film, and I’m proud of my contracted creatives for not only surpassing their roles, but doing so in a way that made the two aspiring filmmakers feel heard, learn gracefully, and feel authentically excited. The actor, Alan Coyne, won Best Actor for this piece.
After shooting at the California Historical Radio Society, I led full-stack Post-production, handling editing, sound design, color, and Film Freeway profile creation. My role bridged both creative and logistical problem-solving to bring the director’s vision to life efficiently.
Music Video: Tune Me Out
“I had no plan at all, just a song. Evan was totally invested in making it as good as possible while encouraging me to give direction and make sure it met my vision. He struck a great balance of explaining important video concepts to me without overwhelming me, giving me space to contribute.
Most importantly, he’s a great hang - the entire day of shooting was really just a fun time with friends, and that showed in the final product.”
- Konstantin Domnitser
of Mad Good
Video Podcast: Hyphae Leaks
“Evan was flexible with our budget and
treated our high profile guests like royalty.
This was our first in-person podcast episode
in a long time, and Evan not only made it
look and sound great, but he also helped
us feel comfortable enough to have
a genuine convo.”
- Reggie Harris of Oakland Hyphae
For this two-hour episode of Hyphae Leaks, I handled production and Post-production: filming, editing, audio enhancement, and delivery. The shoot used a two-camera setup with special considerations for set design, as the recording took place on location.
Hyphae Leaks is an independent psychedelic media platform based in Oakland, California. “Unbought and unbossed,” they report from within the legacy community on science, culture, business, and policy.
I enhanced speech clarity with podcast-specific audio tools and synced multicam edits to spotlight key moments across four speakers. The final piece supports Hyphae’s mission to inform, provoke, and represent.
Audio Storytelling: Death Inc.
Death Inc. is an original dark comedy audio series exploring life, afterlife, and the bureaucracy in between. I developed the IP and served as head writer for all 14 episodes, crafting a serialized world that blends satire with emotional, narrative storytelling.
As the sole engineer, I directed remote performances from international voice actors and handled every stage of Post: mic matching, ambience design, mixing, mastering, music licensing, and overall soundscape cohesion. The variety of source recordings required inventive approaches to ensure tonal and spatial consistency.
Beyond production, I led all grassroots promotion from poster runs across the Bay Area to online campaigns and podcast collaborations.
